Hunter Accidentally Shot With Arrow In Mount Hope

MOUNT HOPE, N.Y. – One hunter mistook one of his companions for a deer and hit him with an arrow in Mount Hope on Sunday, according to the Times-Herald Record.

A bow hunter was accidentally shot by a companion just off of Ledge Road on Sunday.

The incident took place in a wooded area just off of Ledge Road around 7 p.m. The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, the Record said.

Sunday was the first day of early bow season.
